The flashing screen was often shown while decrunching (decompressing) software, mainly games. As a youngster I spent many evening in my dimly lit 1980s room playing C64 games, with chiptunes from the legendary SID audio chip flowing from my speakers.

Super Mario Genderswaps! This was a super fun design challenge, and I’m pretty pleased with how they all turned out — especially Luigi. My favourite thing is how Waluigi just looks the usual design, but in drag.
